Just eight months into the job, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Jonathan Tan has resigned from his post.
Armina Llamas, Officer-in-Charge of the SBMA Office of the Deputy Administrator for Corporate Communications, confirmed Tan’s resignation.
“In behalf of the men and women of the SBMA, I convey our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the hardwork and dedication rendered by our beloved Jonathan Tan as SBMA chairman and administrator, who had been part of the SBMA family for the past eight months,” Llamas said.
“We wish you all the best in your new journey,” Llamas added.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. appointed Tan, a former mayor of Pandan town in Antique, to the top SBMA post last May 2023.
Tan replaced former SBMA chief Rolen Paulino, who resigned on April 15, 2023 without completing his six-year term. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
