His Exc. The Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has congratulated the Amazon of Ogun West politics and first female Chairman of the Oodua Group Board of Directors, Chief Mrs. Iyabode Matilda Apampa on her 75th birthday.
In his Congratulatory message on Sunday, Senator Daniel described Mrs. Apampa as “God-fearing, a veteran Politician and a trailblazer as far as women in politics in Ogun State is concerned, and which has earned her several posts in various departments and agencies of government covering various sectors of the economy.
“I cannot recall how many women in our politics that have been so recycled in the political and Board appointments in our state, no matter the political party or dispensation than Mrs. Apampa, and this speaks to her resourcefulness, political sagacity and enterprise.
“She played a great role in our administration while I was the Governor of Ogun State and she has been quite visible and duly recognised in subsequent governments, just as she has been rightfully rewarded before ours.
“I join her numerous well wishers and political children in wishing her as she marks her 75th birthday anniversary today, I pray long life in greater happiness for her as she celebrates”.
