Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up for the first time with his daughter Suhana Khan for an action-packed dark thriller movie. Produced by his home production ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’, the film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and promises to be a raw and intense thriller.
If reports are to be believed, the film has been titled ‘King’ and is reportedly being inspired by Hollywood actress Natalie Portman’s classic movie ‘Leon: The Professional’. According to reports, the film will revolve around a girl (played by Suhana) whose whole family has been killed by a drug lord. She will be helped by a professional assassin (played by SRK) to take revenge.
According to the Times of India, the film is a significant project for King Khan as ‘Leon’ is one of his all-time favourite movies. While there were reports that Shah Rukh Khan will have a brief cameo appearance, it will be a full-fledged one, promising a powerful on-screen presence.
The film is expected to showcase SRK in an electrifying avatar just like Jawan and Pathaan. Set to go on floors from May, the film is already generating immense anticipation as it gears up for a theatrical release in 2025.
Leon: The Professional is a 1994 English-language French action-thriller film with Jean Reno and Natalie Portman in the lead roles. The film’s plot centers around Reno, a professional hitman who reluctantly takes in Portman after her family is murdered by corrupt a drug lord.
The film was released on September 14 and received mostly positive reviews from critics.
