Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun reveals she had been sick for a month, had to suspend concert rehearsals

Acclaimed Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun recently revealed that she had been sick for a month. In a video uploaded on her social media platforms on Tuesday night (Jul 23), Stefanie is seen celebrating her 46th birthday with a group of unseen friends.

After blowing the candles on her cake, Stefanie proceeded to update her fans about her life and revealed that she first started feeling sick after a performance at a music festival in Fuzhou, China on Jun 16.

She added that she started sweating during the performance – an anomaly for her as she claimed that she doesn’t usually sweat. After the show, she returned to her hotel and shivered uncontrollably for two hours.

After realising she was sick, Stefanie visited both traditional Chinese and Western medicine practitioners and even went to an A&E ward.

Stefanie has since recovered from her illness. However, she appeared disheartened by the fact that she had to postpone concert rehearsals for her tour in 2025.

“It feels like all my efforts have been wasted.”

Nonetheless, she assured fans that the concert was still happening and revealed that she would be releasing a new song late this year; she even hummed a few notes from this new song.
