Toyota Gazoo Racing, 2024 Dakar Rally, Stage 7
Stage 7, the first day of the final week of racing following the Dakar’s sole rest day, presented South African competitors with a fresh set of challenges.
It was a tough outing for Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) and its South African crews, as not one South African crew finished the stage in the top 10.
Giniel de Villiers and co-driver Dennis Murphy came home in P11 – 25 minutes and 22 seconds off stage winners Sebastien Loeb (FRA) and Fabian Lurquin (BEL) of the Bahrain Rain Xtreme team.
