Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt1 large egg, room temperature1/4 cup sour cream1/4 cup 2% milk1 tablespoon canola oil1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 cup finely chopped fresh strawberriesSTRAWBERRY GLAZE:1-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar3 tablespoons pureed strawberries1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Combine egg, sour cream, milk, oil, vanilla and strawberries; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Cut a small hole in the corner of a food-safe plastic bag; fill with batter. Pipe into 2 greased 6-cavity doughnut pans, filling cavities half full. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 12-15 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely. In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients. Dip each doughnut halfway, allowing excess to drip off. Place on wire rack; let stand until set.
