Election results were announced on June 4 and TDP registered an emphatic win, with the party along with its partners of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), winning 164 out of 175 assembly seats in the state. YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won 11 seats.

Recent media reports, citing a senior TDP leader on condition of anonymity, said that the BJP and Jana Sena Party would join the Naidu cabinet. However, there’s no confirmation yet on the seat-sharing scenario.

“In all probability, Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan, who got elected from Pithapuram assembly constituency with a huge majority, will be offered deputy chief minister post apart from cabinet berths to his senior colleague Nadendla Manohar and a couple of other party MLAs,” Hindustan Times reported citing a TDP leader.

Naidu is poised to make history as the first Andhra Pradesh CM to win a fourth term, surpassing the mark set by his father-in-law and TDP founder, NT Rama Rao, who served as chief minister of the then-united Andhra Pradesh three times.
