Jamaica’s Yanique Thompson captured the women’s 100 metre hurdles at Saturday’s Hurricane Alumni Invitational meet in Florida, clocking 13.02 seconds with a tail wind of 1.9 metres per second.
At the same meet, compatriots Jodean Williams and Remona Burchell were 2nd and 4th respectively in the women’s 100 metres in times of 11.28 and 11.42 seconds.
The race was won by Adaejah Hodge of the British Virgin Islands in 11.19 seconds.
Meanwhile, Jamaicans secured the top three places in the women’s high jump where Villanova senior Rochelle Clayton scaled 1.85 metres to win ahead of Kimberly Williamson also with 1.85 metres and Villanova freshman Malaika Cunningham 1.77 metres.
