(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines The procession of the Black Nazarene or Traslacion is expected to last 16 hours, as the number of devotees hoping to bring the image at Quiapo Church before midnight of Wednesday, January 10 swelled to one million, Manila Police District Director Thomas Ibay said on Tuesday.
Ibay said that while the wheeled carriage (Andas) carrying the blessed image is moving faster, stubborn devotees and the “challenge of the narrow streets” continue to be problems.
