Ukraine Police detain man who blew up gas stations in Kharkiv
The Ukraine-Russia war continues to rage on, unabetted, and a new discovery has raised concerns about additional possible terrorist attacks.
The Kyiv Independent is reporting that a man who was alleged to be working for Russian intelligence was detained in the city of Kharkiv for allegedly planting explosives at a gas station.
The information was released to the public by the Security Service of the Ukraine (SBU).

The goal, according to the security report, was to cause “civilian casualties,” rather than wartime casualties.
It’s not clear how the intelligence agency was tipped off to the would-be saboteur.
“During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that the suspect was reportedly involved in other acts of sabotage in the past, namely in the detonation of two gas stations and a railway track in Kharkiv Oblast,” reported the outlet.
It was noted that the saboteur — whose identity hasn’t been released to the public — was a former member of a Russian police force.

So far, the accused has been jailed, pending a further investigation.
It isn’t clear what the investigation entails, or whether the details of the investigation will be released to the public.
If the would-be saboteur is convicted of the crime, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
The SBU had no further comment as of press time.
