Located between Tenby and Amroth, Saundersfoot is a small resort town in South Wales that is home to one of the world’s cleanest beaches.

With a stunning sheltered, sandy beach nestled by a pretty town, it is a perfect retreat for holidaymakers and day-trippers.
The main attractions of the small coastal town include Saundersfoot Beach, cosy pubs and pretty cafes and restaurants with quaint and colourful fronts.
Known for its wide stretches, Saundersfoot Beach is a popular spot among holidaymakers, despite the town not being very well known.
The beach is ideal for swimming, but it’s also a good spot for canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing.
In addition to the long sandy beach, there’s also Coppet Hall Beach, which lies at the other end of Saundersfoot Beach.
With small crowds and peaceful spots to enjoy the beauty of nature, Saundersfoot was recently dubbed the “best place to live” by The Sunday Times.
The nearby Saundersfoot Harbour was originally built to transport coal from the nearby mines.
Over the years, however, the place went through a massive revamp to establish itself as an iconic seaside resort destination.
There’s also Saundersfood Lighthouse, which was built in 1848 to mark the entrance to the harbour.
Holidaymakers can also book to go on boat excursions with Saundersfoot Pleasure Boats.
Other nearby attractions include Battlefield Live – a laser combat centre.
Saundersfoot is a 70-minute drive from Swansea, and it’s a two-hour drive from Cardiff.
While there is a train station in Saundersfoot, it lies a mile away from the town, so it’s a bit of a walk.
A direct train runs between Saundersfoot and Swansea, with journeys taking roughly 90 minutes.
There are plenty of overnight accommodation options in the seaside town, including plenty with views of the beach.

Beachgoers love to visit Withernsea – a small seaside resort town that has a rare inland lighthouse as well as a pair of historic towers.
Home to a Blue Flag Beach with stretches of golden sand and an affordable holiday park, the place is often overlooked by Brit tourists.
Popular activities at Withernsea Beach include sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, with lifeguards on duty in the summer.
The redeveloped promenade, which is located near the golden sandy beach, features numerous cafes, chippies and pubs.
Other facilities include toilets, a first aid point and car parking on the street.
There are plenty of other attractions in Withernsea, including a rare inland lighthouse.
Known for its breathtaking views overlooking both the town and the coast, Withernsea Lighthouse Museum is rated as the best thing to do in the seaside town on TripAdvisor.
