US singer Kelis is the latest international celebrity to tour Kenya.
The American singer and songwriter in a video attempts to cross busy Nairobi CBD roads as most Kenyans are used to.
The 44-year-old celebrity secretly jetted into Kenya and on her social media shocked fans with an announcement that she was in Africa.
“Guess where I’m at now!?!?” she teased.
Kenyans immediately recognized the vehicles, as she narrated how hard it is to cross roads in Nairobi like the locals do.
In a video recorded along Kenyatta Avenue near GPO, Kelis is encouraged by passersby to run across the road like we normally do.
“Look both ways and move fast” she giggles. You watch out. Be aggressive, be .. it’s like playing…,” she says as her audio becomes inaudible.
She gave her opinion on road tips on her Instagram
” Pro tip! Pedestrians do not have the right of way, you better move fast and look both ways 🫨,” she said.
The funny comments about how clueless Nairobi residents are of her fame have many tickled.
