CAPE TOWN – Schools in the Western Cape re-opening on Wednesday after severe weather battered the province in recent days.
The focus of the Western Cape Disaster Management Services has turned to the Garden Route.
Heavy rains have persisted in the province since Monday afternoon, leading to severe flooding.
Famous mountain passes in the picturesque stretch of the Garden Route were closed, until further notice.
Only the Outeniqua pass has reopened, and authorities are urging motorists to be cautious.
