TRINIDAD, TO­BA­GO AND THE SOUTH­ERN WIND­WARDS

Cloudy and windy with show­ers/pe­ri­ods of rain. Medi­um (40%) chance of iso­lat­ed thun­der­storm ac­tiv­i­ty.

Con­di­tions will set­tle by af­ter­noon with a few lin­ger­ing show­ers.

Gusty winds and street/flash flood­ing can oc­cur in the event of heavy show­ers and/or thun­der­storms.

Night will be part­ly cloudy and hazy with the iso­lat­ed show­er.

High Winds Alert #1 – Yel­low Lev­el in ef­fect
(un­til mid­day on June 25, 2024)

There is a high po­ten­tial (70%) for wind gusts in ex­cess of 55km/h es­pe­cial­ly in the vicin­i­ty of show­ers. These strong winds may be brief but are ca­pa­ble of dis­plac­ing un­se­cured roofs, loose out­door ob­jects and can even top­ple trees and weak struc­tures. In ad­di­tion, sea con­di­tions are ex­pect­ed to be ag­i­tat­ed with waves reach­ing above 2.5 m in open wa­ters and chop­py in shel­tered ar­eas.
