Victory Gbakara, Nigerian Idol Season Eight winner, revealed that beyond the glamorous stage and exciting performances, Nigerian Idol was a very mentally and physically tasking competition.
The fast-rising star, who revealed this in an interview with Netng on Monday, July 17, 2023, disclosed that although it was a challenge, it was a bid for the competition to prepare contestants for the outside world.

Nigerian Idol, as much as they made us very comfortable, I won’t forget that it’s a battle, in here and out there, and so they try as much as possible to prepare us mentally and physically and keep us asking. You have to have a very strong motivation, discipline, and mindset to go through something as rigorous as Nigerian Idol, and I’m just grateful,” he told Netng.
