Yoon Sang-hyun
Actor Yoon Sang-hyun will return to the small screen after an absence of about three years in the mystery thriller series “Perfect Family.”
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series revolves around a seemingly happy, perfect family that starts to crumble after their daughter confesses to killing a friend.
Yoon plays a villain who looks kind and speaks gently, but in fact only cares about his own interest and does anything to further it.
“The role is quite challenging,” Yoon said. “Most of the characters I have played before were cheerful and bright, but for this character, I have to think a lot more and create emotions I have never experienced, which worries me a little.”
He expressed determination to make the most of the opportunity, however. “I have waited for a long time for a good project to work on,” he said. “I will work hard to produce good results with a great director, a compelling script and good fellow actors.”
The series will be directed by Japan’s Yukisada Isao, who is well known for the romance film “Crying out Love in the Center of the World.”
The series will begin shooting soon. An airing date has yet to be announced.
