We examined national and state-specific disparities in health insurance coverage, specifically employer-sponsored insurance ESI coverage, for adults in same-sex relationships. The likelihood of employers offering both opposite sex spousal coverage and same-sex spousal coverage increases with firm size see Figure 2.
