Twenty-four French tourists have been rescued from a dive safari boat in Egypt.
According to multiple sources, the boat MY Exocet sank after striking coral near Satayeh Reef in Marsa Alam.
Responding to the incident, nearby vessels rushed to aid the stricken vessel, and all 24 French tourists aboard were safely taken off the boat. Once removed from the vessel, the tourists were taken to the marina near Marsa Alam.
Egyptian authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash and the extent of the damage the vessel caused to the reef.
