Perdomo was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Southampton in the UK.
He was nominated for best actor at the 2019 BAFTA TV awards for his role in BBC Three drama Killed by My Debt.
One of his more recent roles was that of Andre Anderson in Gen V from Amazon Prime Video, a spin-off from the smash-hit series The Boys.
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, the production companies behind the show, said they were “devastated” by the loss of Perdomo.
The producers of Gen V released a separate statement, saying they couldn’t wrap their heads around his sudden death.
“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” they wrote.
“Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense.”
In what is perhaps his breakout role, Perdomo played the warlock Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, entitled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which earned him legions of fans.
