Indian navy units on Saturday recovered crew module of the country’s first test flight for its Gaganyaan (skycraft) mission.

The test flight was successfully launched earlier in the day after putting it on hold for a couple of hours due to a technical anomaly.

The crew module was recovered by the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian navy.

The purpose of the mission was to demonstrate the crew escape system for the Gaganyaan mission.

The Gaganyaan mission is planned to be launched in 2025 when three crew members will be sent into space for three days.
