After launching back in July 2020, Peacock abstained from raising prices for three years before finally asking subscribers to pay more last summer. Sadly, price hikes are becoming an annual tradition, as Peacock is making its plans more expensive this July as well.
On July 18, NBCUniversal will increase the monthly price of its ad-supported Peacock Premium plan from $5.99 to $7.99, while the (mostly) ad-free Peacock Premium Plus plan will go up from $11.99 to $13.99. That’s $2 more per month, no matter which plan you have.
At the same time, the prices of the two annual plans are going up as well. A year of Peacock Premium will now cost $79.99 (up from $59.99), and Peacock Premium Plus will cost $139.99 per year (up from $119.99). Still a discount on the monthly plans, but that’s two more $20 price hikes subscribers are going to have to contend with.
In case you’re curious about the timing of these price hikes, Peacock just so happens to be the streaming home of the 2024 Olympics this summer. The opening ceremony takes place on July 26 in Paris, which is just a week after the new prices go into effect.

If you’re dead set on streaming the Olympics this summer, you could snag a month of Premium right before the events start. All existing Peacock subscribers won’t have to pay the higher price until their next billing date on or after August 17.
On the other hand, if Peacock is one of your go-to streaming services, you should probably just sign up for an annual plan before the prices increase. You’ll save yourself $20 and can continue watching The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
