The February lineup on Disney+ is even lighter than January, but includes a handful of heavy-hitting series and film premieres. First up is season 4 of the Emmy Award-winning Genius: MLK/X—episodes drop on the first three Fridays of the month starting Feb. 2. The latest season of the docudrama focuses on the lives and work of Martin Luther King Jr. (played by Kelvin Harrison Jr.) and Malcolm X (played by Aaron Pierre).
At the end of the month, there’s the premiere of the animated series Iwájú (Feb. 28), a collaboration with Pan-African comic book entertainment company Kugali. The series is a coming-of-age story set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria. After watching the show, follow up with Iwájú: A Day Ahead (also Feb. 28), a behind-the-scenes look at the story of Kugali’s founders.
February also brings the usual superhero and sci-fi content. Over in the Marvel cinematic universe, catch the platform premiere of The Marvels (Feb. 7) starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) alongside Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris as a trio fighting to save the universe. Disney+ is dropping the related installment of Assembled: The Making of The Marvels on the same day. New in the Star Wars universe are episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (Feb. 14) and the season 3 premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch (episodes 1–3 dropping Feb. 21).
