The Kansas City Chiefs can once again call themselves champions after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday. And with that, the 2024 NFL draft order is officially set.

The 49ers own their first-round pick for the first time since 2021. San Francisco had given up its 2022 and 2023 selections to the Miami Dolphins as part of the deal to move up and choose 2021 No. 3 pick Trey Lance. Despite completely missing on Lance, the 49ers have proved capable of finding gems anywhere in the draft, as evidenced by 2022 Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy spearheading their Super Bowl run this year.

The Chiefs have also had success building through the draft, which has helped Kansas City win three titles in the last five years. Picking at the bottom of the first round won’t be an issue for Andy Reid and company.

Here’s a look at the updated draft order after Super Bowl LVIII.

As we officially transition to the offseason, all eyes will be on the Chicago Bears.

A potentially franchise-altering decision awaits the Bears, as they will have to determine whether it’s best to stick with quarterback Justin Fields or select one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2024 class. This year’s group features multiple players who would be understandably difficult for Chicago to pass up.

USC’s Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels top the list of quarterback prospects the Bears will be choosing from. In its latest mock draft, B/R’s NFL Scouting Department predicted that Chicago would go with Maye thanks to his prototypical size (6’4″, 230 lbs), athleticism and throwing skills.

Even if the Bears decide to stick with Fields and go in a different direction with the No. 1 pick, this year’s draft could have as many as four quarterbacks chosen in the first round, which would be the most since 2021.

The Chiefs and 49ers likely won’t be eyeing signal-callers at the bottom of the first round, but they will have their fair share of talented players to choose from.

Kansas City could look to add a top wideout in a deep class of receiver prospects. LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. and Oregon’s Troy Franklin are among those who could be available at pick No. 32. Both players recorded over 1,000 yards in 2023 and would be instant contributors to a Chiefs offense that has been starving for a No. 1 receiver since Tyreek Hill was traded in 2022.

As for San Francisco, the team could go in a variety of directions. B/R’s NFL Scouting Department predicted the 49ers would look to address their defense by selecting Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson, while ESPN’s Mel Kiper thinks they will address a hole on the offensive line by drafting Georgia tackle Amarius Mims.
