Brian Cage, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun were in action against Danny Rosa, Ricky Gee and KM. This was an easy squash for Cage of Agony.
Despite it being one of the easiest victories this trio has gotten, it had a couple of fun spots and made them look like a brutal trio.
Result: Cage of Agony won
Johnny TV was accompanied to the ring by Taya Valkyrie for his match against Castagnoli, who didn’t have anyone from Blackpool Combat Club with him.
This match played out exactly how it needed to. The Swiss Superman used his power to throw Johnny around while the high-flyer used his agility to both sell his opponent’s offense and hit some moves of his own.
Valkyrie helped distract Castagnoli so her husband could hit a low blow, but it wasn’t enough to get him the win. They continued to have a competitive fight through a commercial break, but Valkyrie kept trying to insert herself.
Even after several instances of interference, the former ROH champion got the victory. There was a bit too much interference without a response from the ref, but most of what we saw was enjoyable.
Result: Castagnoli defeated Johnny TV
Notable Moments and Observations
Nigel said the jobber team looked like a Russian nesting doll. Castagnoli held Johnny up for a vertical suplex for a long time. Johnny’s dive over the ring post was awesome.
