All-NBA Teams 2024: Final voting results, list of players on First, Second and Third Teams
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Few end-of-season honors are as prestigious as a selection to one of the three All-NBA Teams.

Since the 1988-89 season, the NBA has recognized 15 players — three teams of five — to represent All-NBA First, Second and Third Teams. Prior to that year, there were two teams to recognize the 10 players most worthy of an All-NBA selection.

The 2023-24 season is yet another landmark year in All-NBA voting as it will be the first season in which All-NBA teams will be positionless. In years past, teams were comprised of two guards, two forwards and a center, but in 2024, each team can consist of any combination of five players.

In addition to the positionless format, this season is the first in which players must meet a minimum games-played threshold to be eligible for an All-NBA selection. Players who did not see at least 20 minutes of playing time in 65 or more games are not eligible for an All-NBA selection, with an exception for those who suffered an injury deemed season-ending.

Here’s a look at the All-NBA teams for 2023-24.

How All-NBA Teams are selected

NBA end-of-season awards are voted on by a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters, though it appears only 99 responses have been counted in 2023-24.

For All-NBA, each voter chooses the five players they deem most worth for First, Second and Third Teams. Beginning in 2024, these selections are made regardless of position.

Players receive five points for First Team votes, three points for Second Team votes and one point for Third Team votes.

Who has the most All-NBA selections?

LeBron James sits alone atop the leaderboard for career All-NBA selections.

In addition to James, only three other players earned at least 15 All-NBA selections. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan each earned 15 selections during their respective careers.

Warriors guard Chris Paul and Suns forward Kevin Durant are tied for second in All-NBA selections among active players with 11.
