Alonso : Aston Martin F1 a 'des

Fernando Alonso est impatient de voir les évolutions arriver sur sa monoplace. Le pilote Aston Martin F1 confirme que les premières nouveautés apportées à Suzuka n’étaient que le début d’un plus gros package de mises à jour qui doivent arriver plus tard cette saison.

“On verra, je pense qu’il y a deux ou trois choses dans les tuyaux pour améliorer la voiture” a déclaré Alonso. “Je pense que ce premier package n’est que la base de ce que nous introduirons plus tard dans la saison.”

“Donc nous avons encore besoin d’analyser beaucoup de choses. Mais comme je l’ai dit, nous fonctionnons très bien le dimanche, en maximisant les points, donc encore plus que ce que nous méritons normalement.”

L’Espagnol salue aussi les progrès sur le plan opérationnel : “Les arrêts aux stands ont été parfaits. En fait au deuxième arrêt quand j’ai vu le feu vert et que j’y suis allé, je me suis dit qu’ils n’avaient peut-être pas changé les quatre pneus parce que pour moi c’était le plus rapide de tous les temps.”

“Je suis curieux de voir le temps, donc il y a de petites choses ici et là qui permettent d’obtenir les résultats. Mais je pense que fondamentalement, le rythme n’est pas là où nous voulons être et c’est quelque chose sur lequel nous devons nous concentrer maintenant.”

Alonso espère que sa monoplace sera performante en Chine, et qu’il pourra profiter de son expérience en ce week-end avec peu d’essais : “Je pense que cela nous donne toujours un peu plus d’opportunités quand vous avez un peu de déficit sur le rythme, des conditions mixtes ou des week-ends de Sprint.”

“Je pense qu’en Chine, avec ses longs virages, son circuit limité à l’avant, peut-être comme l’Australie, je m’attends à ce que Ferrari soit très rapide, mais aussi Red Bull. Nous verrons, nous avons un DRS très puissant et peut-être que cela nous aidera dans la longue ligne droite de la Chine.”
