Amanda Serrano and Ashton Sylve headline Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions roster

While he continues to compete, Jake Paul has slowly built an empire within boxing. Forming Most Valuable Promotions with advisor Nakisa Bidarian, Paul has some formidable talent at his disposal.

The YouTuber will face MMA fighter Nate Diaz on August 5. That bout takes place at the American Airlines Center in Texas and airs on DAZN and ESPN+ PPV. Not only is Paul on that card, but all of the fighters signed to MVP.

With champions, hard-hitting contenders, and young prospects, Team MVP has an opportunity to go for the sweep in August.

Paul has a young TV star and amateur fighter on his roster, Javon Walton.

“I’ve been training so hard and working for the majority of my life for this moment. MVP feels like family, and that’s very important to me. I know they can help me reach my goals in professional boxing and do it in a way that feels special to me.” said Walton.

Paul has also expanded the MVP brand with Most Valuable Prospects, “a new boxing series created to highlight the next generation of the sport’s best male and female athletes, who all have world title aspirations.”

Here’s a breakdown of who is on the Most Valuable Promotions team.

What is Most Valuable Promotions?

Founded in 2021 by Paul and advisor Nakisa Bidarian, Most Valuable Promotions was made to provide more creative control for fighters. It continues Paul’s attempts for better pay and opportunities in boxing.

The promotion has co-produced fights featuring Paul, including bouts against Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Tommy Fury.

Fighters signed to Most Valuable Promotions

Amanda Serrano

Outside of Paul, Serrano was the first official signing for MVP and is one of the most decorated fighters in boxing history.

A seven-division world champion, Serrano teamed with Paul to make a dream fight against Katie Taylor in 2022. She had her 28-fight win streak snapped by Taylor, losing in her bid to become undisputed lightweight champion. She has since won two in a row, beating Erika Cruz in February to become the undisputed featherweight champion.

Serrano has 47 wins, with 30 of them via knockout. She recently became a millionaire thanks to her partnership with Paul.

Shadasia Green

Green is a former Team USA star and won silver in the 2016 World Championships. Making her pro debut in 2019, she won three fights in 2022. The recent signing of MVP beat Elin Cederroos in her most recent fight and is a possible contender for Savannah Marshall, the undisputed super middleweight champion.

“My motto is ‘be phenomenal or be forgotten’ – a mantra that fits so perfectly with the team that Jake and Nakisa have created,” said Green. “We’re striving for greatness together, and I can’t wait to work side-by-side with them for this next phase of my career. “

Ashton Sylve

Sylve got signed by Paul and is promoted as boxing’s future. The 19-year-old turned pro in 2020 and has won all but one fight via knockout. “H20” was signed by Paul and MVP in April 2022 and has competed under Paul’s Most Valuable Prospects brand, defeating Adam Kipenga in May via unanimous decision.

Javon Walton

A recent signing to Most Valuable Promotions, Walton is known as “Ashtray” on the HBO show Euphoria. He has also appeared on Umbrella Academy, Utopia, and SAMARITAN.

Outside of acting, Walton competes at the amateur level. He is a multi-time Junior Regional Champion and a two-time Junior Olympic national silver medalist. The 17-year-old will eventually join the pro ranks under the MVP brand.

“We see this as an incredible opportunity to make a big impact on ‘Wanna’s’ entrance into professional boxing. The way Nakisa and Jake have been able to disrupt the boxing promotion business in such a considerably short period of time is inspiring. We’re honored to be MVP’s youngest signee,” said Walton’s coach and father, DJ Walton.
