Malik Tillman’s early time with PSV has mainly saw him used as a substitute in Peter Bosz’s squad, but in his first start of the new campaign on Saturday, the Bayern Munich loanee impressed in a third-straight victory for the club.

Tillman scored his first goal for PSV while also adding his first assist in a 3-1 Eredivisie victory over FC Volendam on Saturday. The 21-year-old earned SBI Americans Abroad Player of the Week honors after impressing all around the field for PSV.

Tillman’s attacking abilities and creativity were on display as the young midfielder impressed at the Philips Stadion. Tillman set up Guus Til for PSV’s second goal of the match, early in the second half.

Despite FC Volendam’s best efforts to tie the match up late, Tillman delivered the nail in the coffin in stoppage time. Tillman raced into the PSV box before unleashing a powerful effort into the top of the net.

He led all players in duels won (13), dribbles completed (3), and fouls drawn (3) as PSV moved top of the Eredivisie table with 21 points earned and a perfect 7-0-0 league record.

PSV resumes UEFA Champions League play midweek as La Liga side Sevilla makes the trip to Eindhoven on Tuesday. Tillman will be seeking his first UCL start for the Dutch giants after impressing in league play on Saturday.

Here is a look at some of the other top Americans Abroad performers from this past week:

Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic certainly has one eye on his return to Dortmund this week, but first the U.S. men’s national team star delivered AC Milan’s winning goal on Saturday.

Pulisic netted his third Serie A goal of the campaign as the Rossoneri defeated Lazio 2-0 in league play. The USMNT attacker helped break the deadlock at the San Siro before watching his teammates ice the victory later in the second half.

Pulisic has been one of AC Milan’s best players through the opening six weeks of the campaign.

Henry Wingo

Henry Wingo’s recent return to the Ferencvaros starting lineup continued this past weekend with the American defender scoring in a lopsided win.

Wingo scored only his second goal for the Hungarian leaders as Ferencvaros rolled to a 6-1 league win over MTK Budapest. The 27-year-old has featured as a centerback in recent weeks for Dejan Stankovic’s squad, providing a new opportunity for consistent minutes this season.

A trip to Serie A side Fiorentina in UEFA Europa Conference League action is next on the cards for Wingo and Ferencvaros.

Folarin Balogun

AS Monaco claimed a huge Ligue 1 win this past weekend with Folarin Balogun rebounding from a forgettable performance the prior week.

Balogun scored once and assisted once in Monaco’s 3-2 home victory over Marseille. The USMNT striker delivered a confident finish in the box, while also showing off his distribution skills earlier in the result.

Balogun missed two penalty kicks the week prior against Nice, but showed a short memory this weekend as Monaco sits top of the Ligue 1 table.

Jordan Pefok

Jordan Pefok retained his spot in the Borussia Moenchengladbach starting lineup this past weekend, excelling in the club’s first Bundesliga victory of the new season.

Pefok registered one assist in a 3-1 road triumph over Bochum. It was an impactful and hardworking performance from the 27-year-old, who also won eight duels, drew three fouls, and created three offensive chances in the match.

Pefok played 64 minutes in the road win before leaving the match with a slight knock.
