Elden Ring creator From Software is all set to launch their new game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The game is, of course, looking pretty good, and despite not being part of the celebrated Souls series, it has generated much hype.

From Software has even claimed that this one would not be a Souls game or inspired by one. No matter what Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team claim, the recent story trailer hints big at it being a soul-like.

The Last of Us series from HBO and Craig Mazin, the creator of Chernobyl, was a revelation to many. Its success was so monumental that the second season cannot come soon enough for fans.
The trailer opens with a voiceover and a war where various mechs are fighting; one of them is the 617. As mechs keep getting destroyed, a door opens, and the voice asks Handler Walter about the condition of 617 and his team.
Handler wants just one thing: he wants a new fighter. He asks if the thing is operational, and the voice confirms that it is. It also claims that this thing they are talking about is just barely operational. The voice tells the handler that he is happy about this helping him clear his inventory, though.
We are then shown a body with a working brain. This brain is then awakened on the orders of the handler. And simultaneously, players are shown the demise of numerous other mechs. They seem to be attacking a wall, trying to breach it, and as they all fall, a new mech “621” awakens.

This mech is being controlled by this newly awakened brain. 621 is now being briefed by the Handler. He says that he is giving it a reason to exist.
This seems to be like one of those opening cinematics every From Software game has. The voice acting is once again top-notch, and the premise is pretty dark. This goes to show that From Software has still added some souls flair to this new game.

The game looked pretty appealing before, and it’s pretty obvious fans would be sprawling all over it after this new trailer. It looks very good, and it hits pretty hard. Here’s hoping the actual game is as good.
