Aston Villa fans were not shy to revel in their rivals’ shortcomings as they mocked Wayne Rooney during their 3-1 win over Luton.
The Villans and Blues play in the Second City derby, which is seen as one of the fiercest rivalries in English football.

Birmingham enjoyed a strong start to the season as they sat 6th in the Championship after 11 games.
However, John Eustace was sacked by the club and replaced by Rooney, who has endured a tough start to his tenure.
The Blues have lost all three of the games under his management thus far, with their latest result seeing them lost 3-1 to Southampton.
And high-flying Aston Villa, who are one of the Premier League’s in-form sides, certainly have no sympathy for them.

During the second half of their win at home to Luton, fans at Villa Park could be heard singing: “There’s only one Wayne Rooney!”
The two sides haven’t met since 2019 when they were both playing in the Championship, with Villa winning 1-0 away from home.
Amid their recent form under Rooney, Birmingham have now dropped to 14th in the second tier and five points off the play-offs.
Villa on the other hand are faring much better than their arch-rivals, with their latest win taking them into the Premier League top four.
John McGinn’s low strike following a well-worked corner routine gave them the lead over Luton, who have won once all season.
Villa doubled their advantage early on in the second-half via Moussa Diaby before Tom Lockyer scored an own-goal to make it 3-0, with Luton’s consolation coming from an Emiliano Martinez own-goal.
Unai Emery’s side will drop out of the top four should Manchester City beat Manchester United.
However, their fans are fully aware that their fortunes are currently much greater than those at Birmingham.
