That being said, patch 14.8 has seen her take her seat back at the head of the table. She is one of the strongest champions of the game and can still be played as a viable option in the Top Lane. Rammus

With Rek’Sai currently being one of the S tier junglers on 14.8, for now, we are going to focus on the jungle champions that can counter Rek’Sai. We will provide the best top lane counter below. Rammus is one of the better champions to match the speed of Rek’Sai in League of Legends. His jungle clear is fine, but he becomes extremely tanky early in the game. Thornmail is the bain of every ADC’s existence. He can build it early, and it is great for champions who have healing in their kit. Rammus has excellent movement speed with his Q, as he can zoom from one end of the jungle and into the entrance of the next.

Vi

Vi is one of the best champions at getting round the map with ease, and is a great fighter into Rek’Sai. Her kit allows her to punch through her tackiness in the late game and can match the aggression in the early game, thanks to her Q, which allows her to go over walls. Gragas will struggle in the one-versus-one battle against her, but that doesn’t mean Gragas will have a hard time playing against her. If you find yourself in an isolated battle with Rek’Sai, just be prepared to counter her dashes with your E. This will stop her from being able to knock you up. Rek’Sai relies on a lot of vision to play the lanes and gank them efficiently. Instead of trying to invade her, just make sure your lanes are set up with the best vision possible to avoid Rek’Sai getting any kills on your lanes.

Sejuani on patch 14.8 is statistically the worst champion to play against Rek’Sai according to Mobalytics. Rek’Sai players should be aggressive in this match up because she has great success against Sejuani at all stages of the game. This means you should be looking to counter jungle whenever possible. On top of that, Rek’Sai has a much faster camp clear than Sejuani, which means she can get out into the lanes quicker and contest the neutral objectives. On top of that, Sejuani players rely on their level six before they really want to gank, so the key is to slow her game down and make sure she is delayed in getting into the lanes. Rek’Sai can move around the map at a quicker pace also because of her E, which creates small burrows that allows her to travel across the map faster than the average League of Legends champion.
