Tryndamere puts the word legend in League of Legends. This champion was released in 2009. Tryndamere’s release was a special one because he was the first LoL champion to be manaless, meaning his abilities did not require mana to use them. This was a big shift in the game’s dynamic, as this showed positive results which led to more champions being manaless, such as Shen, Zed, and more. Quinn
Quinn is one of the strongest ranged match-ups that can play well into Tryndamere in League of Legends. Quick can counter everything he wants to do in the lane. If Tryndamere dashes in with his E, Quinn can block it using her blind, making it a nerve-racking time for the Tryndamere. On top of that, Quinn can jump away if Tryndamere is looking to engage. Not only that, she is a much better roamer than Tryndamere because of her ultimate.
Tahm Kench
Tahm Kench is the lane bully of the top lane when it comes to melee vs melee matchups. Tahm passive is very annoying as it does more damage than you would think going up against a Tank like Tahm Kench. When his passive is fully stacked, you will be stunned in place with nowhere to go. On top of that, Tahm can jump onto you with his W. Finally, Tahms ultimate can devourer you, meaning he can eat you, run back to his tower, and throw you under it.
Malphite
You wouldn’t believe it, but Malphite is an amazing counter to Tryndamere, but it requires champion knowledge to get the job done. Malphite burns through mana with just a couple of abilities. His mana cost per ability is one of the worst in the game, making him a hard champion to lane with. Once you have some mana under your belt, you will be able to fight Tryndamere but don’t go for an all-in until he has burned his ultimate. Save your ultimate for when he is too low and may not react, or if he has used his ultimate already.
