The Braves entered last year’s playoffs as one of the favorites but had yet another disappointing exit. We’ll see how an expensive offseason pays off now.
Atlanta’s biggest move came on the mound with the acquisition of Chris Sale. With the combination of the former Red Sox ace and Spencer Strider, who led the league in wins and strikeouts — not to mention Max Fried and Charlie Morton — the Braves’ pitching should hold its own.
Truthfully, there are very few places the team lacks otherwise. They’ve got the batting power with Matt Olson and reigning MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. How anyone will be able to stop the Braves from their seventh straight NL East title is to be decided, but fans have learned to be wary of the division-rival Phillies.
If things go according to plan, Atlanta will be a favorite come October. But first, the journey begins in North Port, Florida.

Here’s everything to know to catch the Braves in action as they prep for opening day.
Braves spring training schedule 2024
Pitchers and catchers began workouts Feb. 15, and the rest of the squad joined Feb. 20.
Braves’ Grapefruit League games begin just four days later when they visit the Rays at Charlotte Sports Park on Saturday, Feb. 24. Spring training concludes a month and two days later when they go see the Twins at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers on Tuesday, March 26. Atlanta’s 2024 season opens two days later in Philadelphia.
Those looking for a way to see Atlanta in action can find tickets for spring training games on StubHub. Unfortunately for fans who can’t make the trip to Florida, only eight games will be streamed on Bally Sports South and Southeast, plus one game on ESPN.
