It was an interesting offseason for the Brewers.
Rather than going for the big names, Milwaukee used most of its time to trade prospects for guys who played in the big leagues but struggled. The hope was to have players who could hopefully succeed in the near future with a new organization. If not, they have minor-league options to make some changes.
To the delight of fans, the Brewers decided to bring back ace Brandon Woodruff. The pitcher had surgery in October for a lingering shoulder injury. He became a free agent for the first time, but only recently decided to return to where it all started. He might not even recover in time to play this season, but it’s not about now, it’s about 2025. He signed a two-year deal and was immediately placed on 60-day IL.
Despite some confusing moves, the Brewers are eyeing a repeat as NL Central champs. The journey has already begin in Phoenix, Arizona.

Brewers spring training schedule 2024
The Brewers first play the Padres on Feb. 24 and close out their spring training schedule against the Rockies on March 26. They then travel to New York to face the Mets in the regular-season opener on March 28.
