Bronny James stats, highlights from USC debut: Points total and more as Trojans fall to Long Beach State in OT

LOS ANGELES — Long Beach State crashed the party in Bronny James’ highly anticipated USC debut.

In front of LeBron James and a sold-out Galen Center, the Beach came away with a hard-fought 84-79 victory in overtime after trailing for the majority of the contest.

The crowd erupted with James’ every move, exploding on highlight plays like an electrifying chase-down block and a catch-and-shoot 3 in transition for his first college bucket.

James was eased back into the rotation in his first game, only playing 16 minutes with a handful of quick stints, but the Trojans’ poor free throw shooting sank their hopes of a win. USC missed 16 free throws in the contest, including a few key misses at the end of regulation to give Long Beach State a chance.

The Beach’s Marcus Tsohonis provided a massive spark off the bench in the win, going for 28 points with some clutch buckets down the stretch.
