Bruno Fernandes has won Manchester United’s Goal of the Month award, for his sublime volley against Burnley.
Jonny Evans’s pass was perfectly measured for our captain and he fired a low, unstoppable drive beyond James Trafford to give United the lead.
The strike ultimately proved the difference in the match, with the Reds coming away from Turf Moor with a 1-0 victory, and it has also been named our Goal of the Month.
Over the years we have seen some great finishes, with Bruno producing many of them, and the volley against Burnley had something of the Robin van Persie about it.
Fernandes, running in behind, watched the ball all the way over his shoulder and on to his boot, before unleashing a fierce volley into the bottom corner.
It is a finish that just gets better and better, the more you watch it.
Fernandes had competition from the likes of Marcus Rashford (for his strike against Arsenal) and Hannibal (for his finish versus Brighton) for our September award, but it was the skipper who ultimately topped our fan poll.
Congratulations, Bruno!
