New Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino will have to hit the ground running once the summer window officially opens after inheriting a mess at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea finished a pitiful 12th in the Premier League – their lowest since the 1993/94 season – following a series of errors on and off the pitch.
Pochettino will be keen to bring his own players in to put his stamp on an already oversized squad but equally that may mean several high-profile stars could be on their way out.

The Gunners have already seen one bid rejected for the Germany international, but there is growing confidence the deal will get done.

Bayern Munich had been interest but a late hijack of the deal is unlikely.

“Terms have changed as contract will be longer than expected.”

Reports in Italy claim that Chelsea may be offered midfielder Barella as part of a swap deal that would see Inter Milan sign Lukaku.

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes that Blues fans won’t be worried about Kai Havertz’s potential departure.
Arsenal have seen a first official bid turned down for the German this week but Mikel Arteta is believed to still be keen to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
However, talkSPORT host Cundy believes that the Gunners’ pursuit won’t worry Chelsea fans, with the pundit claiming that £60million would be a good fee.
He said: “I’ve covered pretty much every game Havertz has played for Chelsea, and he’s a curious one.
“Look, he scored the winning goal in the Champions League final, so he can do it, there is no doubting his ability, technically he’s a brilliant footballer.
“But how many times as a Chelsea fan can I look back and go, ‘Kai Havertz today, wow’? Not many.
“He reminds me of Mesut Ozil. He’s got his languid playing style. It doesn’t look like he cares. He’s a stroller around the pitch.
“The thing that would concern me if I was an Arsenal fan is he goes missing. He lacks a bit of heart, a bit of steel, a bit of fight and he can drift out of games very quickly. If you’re in a battle I’m not sure he’s the man you want.
“I think the trial may have finished for Havertz at Chelsea. I think they’ll probably say, ‘We’ve seen enough of this, it hasn’t quite worked, move him on’.
“And I don’t think there are too many Chelsea fans out there who are worried about this move. I think anything over £60m would be a decent fee.”
Chelsea youngster Cesare Casadei has been subject of three loan requests from teams in the Championship.

He told ESPN: “No, no… I’m at Madrid.
“I’m trying to enjoy every moment and leave my mark on the best club in the world. I want to keep winning titles for Real Madrid fans.”
Al Nassr’s president will reportedly visit London to try and sign Hakim Ziyech.

talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy has revealed his thoughts on Kai Havertz potentially leaving Chelsea for Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners are locked in negotiations with their London rivals over a move, and Arsenal are preparing to submit an opening offer.
However, after flattering to deceive in west London, Cundy isn’t convinced he would do a job for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “If you’re in a battle, I’m not sure he’s the player you want.
“The thing that would concern me as an Arsenal fan is that he goes missing. He lacks steel, he lacks fight and he drifts out of games very easily.
“But look at [Martin] Odegaard and where he was two years ago, where he was at Real Madrid, so maybe, Arteta thinks he can get the best out of Havertz too.”
Chelsea are emerging as late contenders to Tottenham for Brentford’s David Raya, according to The Times.
The Spaniard will leave the Bees this summer, and the club have already signed his replacement; however, they want £40million for Raya, which Spurs aren’t willing to pay.

More now on Manchester United preparing a new offer for Chelsea’s Mason Mount.
talkSPORT understands the Red Devils are set to submit a fresh bid worth in excess of £50million after seeing the Blues turn down £40m.
This is still much lower than Chelsea’s £70m valuation, but it could be a step close to Mount leaving Stamford Bridge and moving to Old Trafford.
talkSPORT has been told that Arsenal are finally set to submit their opening offer for Kai Havertz after positive talks with the German’s camp.
The Blues want £75million to sell the attacker this summer to help the club fund a spending spree.
However, the Gunners think Havertz’s refusal to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge should help them arrange a better financial deal.
Chelsea are expecting Manchester United to submit an improved offer for Mason Mount next week, according to The Times.
They claim the Red Devils are confident they can convince the Blues to lower their demands and sign the England international.
United saw a £40million bid flat out rejected by Chelsea, with the west Londoners looking for £70m.
talkSPORT understands Mount has already agreed personal terms ahead of a summer move away from Stamford Bridge and Chelsea need funds to sign players this summer, with Moises Caicedo their top target.
Chelsea have revealed their list of players retained for the 2023/24 season with Tiemoue Bakayoko released.
The midfielder joined the Blues from Monaco back in 2017 but hasn’t made a first team appearance for the west London side since 2018.
During this time he has been on loan spells as Serie A clubs Napoli and Milan as well as a loan back to Monaco, who Chelsea signed him from for £40million.
Andriy Shevchenko has faith Mykhaylo Mudryk can still become a success at Chelsea.
“He’s very young, he has a lot of potential in the future,” the AC Milan legend told Goal.
