Chris Eubank Jr has told Joe Joyce to keep his head up following his devastating knockout defeat to Zhilei Zhang.
The Brit was KO’d in the third round of his rematch with Zhang, having also been stopped in the first fight between the pair.

And Eubank, who recently felt defeat against Liam Smith before redeeming himself and winning the rematch, sent a supportive message to his fellow countryman following the loss.
“As a man who knows first hand how hard it is mentally & physically to come off a defeat & go straight into a rematch. Gotta give all the respect to @JoeJoyceBoxing for getting back in there & putting it all on the line for a shot at glory & redemption,” Eubank said on social media.
“Very few people understand how hard it is to do what you did tonight.
“Zhang’s a hell of a fighter congratulations to him & keep your head up Joe you will be back.”
The next move for Joyce is unclear, as he is now no longer mandatory for the WBO heavyweight world title, meaning it will be a long road back into contention.
But, prior to the fight, promoter Frank Warren had mentioned that even if Joyce were to lose, a rematch with Daniel Dubois, who he beat in 2020, could be on the table.
As for Zhang, he is now mandatory challenger for Oleksandr Usyk’s crown.
And he also wants a shot at WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, who he called out after his victory.
