Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons blasted ESPN First Take analyst Bart Scott for making a senseless joke about the season-ending injury suffered by cornerback Trevon Diggs.
“This is a major, major blow for Dallas and like Stephen A. [Smith] always says, just wait. Something bad always happens,” Scott said on First Take.
Smith was quick to shut down Scott for his comment, and Parsons made his opinion clear on the matter via X, formerly known as Twitter:

Diggs was ruled out for the remainder of the 2023 season after suffering a torn ACL during Thursday’s practice. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that he is expected to make a full recovery.
The 25-year-old has become a central figure in the Dallas defense since being selected in the second round of the 2020 draft out of Alabama, earning two Pro Bowl selections and an All-Pro selection in his first three seasons.
Diggs’ best season came in 2021 when he posted 11 interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, 21 pass breakups and 52 tackles in 16 games.
Through two games this season, Diggs had posted one interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and four tackles.
The Cowboys will now turn to Noah Igbinoghene, Jourdan Lewis and Eric Scott Jr. to fill the void left by Diggs. However, more pressure will be on veteran Stephon Gilmore to take on an even larger role than expected.
This is not the first time Parsons has called out Scott, who spent 11 seasons in the NFL from 2002 to ’12.
After Scott blamed Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins for the hit that resulted in Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin going into cardiac arrest during a game last season, Parsons posted on X:

Yoo are we serious?!!?why do we let some people speak on tv?! This was a freak incident but putting fault on another player is wild! They should make some of these guys go over lines or something or not even give them a seat at the table! https://t.co/ctJVfu6cuf
Andrew Whitworth @AndrewWhitworth
I feel you young legend! On every level! Like bro, it’s not about this guy and his hot takes right now! It’s about our brotherhood putting our arms around each other and pulling closer together for our brothers! Not that BS!
Hamlin has since made a full recovery but has yet to appear in a game for the Bills this season.
