Highlights: Astana come from behind to beat Dinamo Tbilisi in thriller
Crusaders beat Haka 3-2 on aggregate, while Linfield, Derry City and Dundalk joined them in the second round of the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Paul Heatley scored on 73 minutes for Crusaders to send them through to the next round.
Linfield suffered a 1-0 defeat after conceding to Vilaznia’s Bekim Belaj on 54 minutes but claimed a 3-1 aggregate win.
Derry City had Sadou Diallo’s 23rd minute strike to thank for progressing as he scored the only goal of the two ties against HB.
Glentoran were knocked out by Gzira after Bobby Burns’ 103rd minute equaliser in stoppage time secured a 1-1 draw, but the away side managed to win 14-13 on penalties.
In Ireland, Dundalk beat Gibraltar’s Magpies 3-1 after a goalless first leg. Patrick Hoban scored after three minutes, John Martin added a second on 48 minutes, and Andre Luiz dos Santos put through his own net to make it three for the home side. Jose Manuel Martinez Oliver scored for Magpies just after the half hour.
Luxembourg side Diddeleng travelled to Ireland for a 3-2 win over St Patrick’s Athletic after a Oege-Sietse van Lingen hat-trick answered Didier Pierre Jean-Paul Desprez’s own goal and Adam Murphy’s strike on the hour, as Diddeleng won 5-3 overall.
Two Welsh sides suffered exits on Thursday. Connah’s Quay were one victim as they lost 4-0 on aggregate to Icelandic side KA after Daniel Hafsteinsson and Elfar Arni Aoalseinsson secured a 2-0 away win.
Penybont were knocked out by Andorran outfit FC Santa Coloma after they took a 1-1 draw to the continent, and played out a 0-0 draw in regular time. Extra-time goals from Ivan Garrido Ciarruiz and Christian Novoa either side of Christopher Venables’ red card earned them passage into the next round.
Haverfordwest County secured their passage after Lee Jenkins’ 89th minute strike forced extra-time against Shkendika. With no more goals, the home side won 3-2 on penalties.
