We’ve had the Michael Jordan flu game – now we’ve got the Micah Parsons version.
The Cowboys edge rusher reportedly had the flu prior to the Eagles game on Sunday and was listed as questionable ahead of kick off.

However, Parsons was able to overcome his sickness and play in a pivotal 33-13 home victory for Dallas.
The Cowboys linebacker recorded two tackles and the team’s only sack of the night despite battling illness.
After the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could be heard referring to Parsons’ illness as the two-time Pro Bowler walked back to the Dallas locker room alongside teammate Nahshon Wright.
“Sick, my a** Micah,” Jones said to Parsons, who continued walking without acknowledging the NSFW quip.
“Good ol’ Jerry,” one person on X, formerly Twitter, replied in the comments.
“Jerry is such a boss,” added another.
While Parsons’ heroics deserve praise, the win was all about quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott completed 24 of 39 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns as he walked off the field to chants of ‘”MVP!” by the home crowd.

The Cowboys QB has been on a tear of late, powering the Cowboys to the top spot in the NFC East ahead of the Eagles.
Prescott has 4,505 passing yards with 28 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. The Cowboys are also 7-1 in their last eight games, a run that has seen Dak complete 201 of his 290 passes (69%) for 2,444 yards, 25 total TDs and two interceptions.
After the game, Jones was full of praise for his starting signal caller.
“I thought this was a monumental game for him tonight,” Jones said.
“Everybody who follows the NFL knew that he had a lot of the expectation as to how he was going to perform and how he was going to meet this challenge.
“The ever overhang of well, did he do it with the right competition? I don’t mean to sound condescending. That’s fair. He did tonight, and he did it in a very efficient way against a team as good as we’ll play… But I think that we’ll go as far as Dak will take us.”
“I would say he’s become the most valuable player right before our eyes in the last several months,” Jones added.

Jones’ team has not won a Super Bowl since 1996, and after beating a team with a winning record for the first time this season, there’s fresh hope this could be the year they finally do it.
America’s Team are tied with the 49ers and Eagles with a 10-3 record on the season and face tough road games against the Bills and Dolphins over the next fortnight.
They finish the season with games against the Lions and Commanders with the No.1 seed in the NFC firmly in their sights.
