Dalton Smith vs. Sam Maxwell date, start time, odds, schedule & card for 2023 boxing fight

The British and Commonwealth super lightweight titles are on the line in a high-class showdown between Dalton Smith and Sam Maxwell on Saturday night.

Smith is earmarked as one of the brightest prospects in the UK and will be looking to make a statement after a pair of underwhelming points wins over Kaisee Benjamin and Billy Allington in his past two outings.

To win the Lonsdale Belt outright, Smith will have to overcome Liverpudlian Maxwell, a former amateur standout who memorably pitted his wits against the great Vasiliy Lomachenko in the World Series of Boxing.

Now 34, this might represent Maxwell’s final chance to truly make a mark in the paid ranks as he enters the bout against Smith as a significant betting underdog.

After he beat Akeem Ennis Brown to win the Commonwealth belt in August 2021, he was floored twice and stopped in nine rounds by Mexico’s Alejandro Meneses.
