Elliot Daly believes Saracens have to hit the ground running if they are to land a second Gallagher Premiership Rugby title in a row. They currently sit in fourth place in the table, eight points behind league leaders Northampton Saints. Ahead of a showdown against Harlequins at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium, centre Daly says they “can’t afford to lose too many more games.”

Saracens centre Elliot Daly admits time is running out if they are to win back-to-back Gallagher Premiership Rugby titles.
Joe Shaw’s side currently sit in fourth place in the table, eight points behind leaders Northampton Saints with six games remaining.
The first of those matches is against Harlequins, currently second, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, live on TNT Sports and discovery+ on Saturday.
Over 50,000 fans will attend the match, and Daly – no stranger to big attendances as an England international – believes that makes the occasion even more special.
“Obviously the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is one of the best stadiums going. The atmosphere is brilliant, the front-row seats are basically on the touchline. You probably don’t get that at any other ground.”
Opponents Harlequins are only one point above Saracens in the table, so the two teams could swap positions depending on Saturday’s result.
After that win in November, Sarries looked likely to run away with the title, but defeats to Sale and Leicester either side of Christmas have dented their hopes of a second successive crown.
Things could change very quickly though, especially with match against Northampton to come on March 29.
“With where we sit in the table now, we can’t afford to lose too many more games,” Daly continued.
“Those first two games [after the international break] are absolutely massive. We will try and fly into those two and hopefully get the right results to put us in a strong position in the table.
“The feeling towards that game is massive. Playing Quins is a rivalry we always enjoy. We are looking forward to that game.”
