The Deliveroo driver fended off the attacker with his helmet
As reported by ‘The Journal‘, Caio Benicio was out on his motorcycle as per his daily work routine. He happened to notice a man on Parnell Street attacking a young girl with a knife. This prompted Benicio to immediately get off his bike and take his helmet to hit the attacker. He later mentioned that the decision to hit the attacker was purely instinctual.

The Deliveroo driver hit the attacker with all his might and helped to subdue him in the process. However, the victims, which included three young children and a female creche worker, were injured during the attack. The police have not revealed any further details about the attacker, but the Irish community has hailed Caio Benicio as a hero for his brave effort.
