Shohei Ohtani seems to impress fans and his teammates in just about every game.

In his latest feat, the Los Angeles Dodgers star crushed a home run 473 feet with an exit velocity of 116.7 mph.

Ohtani’s homer was the second-longest home run ever recorded at Dodger Stadium and was just a few feet shorter than the longest deep shot in the majors this year by Jorge Soler at 478 feet, which coincidentally happened on Sunday as well.

The homer marks Ohtani’s fifth long ball that went more than 450 feet this season, an unreal stat from one of the unbelievable players in the game.

After the crushed home run, fans were awe struck by Ohtani’s power.

Shohei Ohtani. 473 feet. 116.7 mph. That’s as far as I’ve ever seen a ball hit at Dodger Stadium. pic.twitter.com/FEBMTbjIoK

Shohei Ohtani’s 473 foot home run flew between the roof and the Daiso sign in left center field, according the fans in the area. It then had enough velocity to surpass the concourse and land in the walkway in Centerfield Plaza. This is where it flew through and the ball. pic.twitter.com/VtY4H58nij

SHOHEI OHTANI IS THE ONLY PLAYER WITH MULTIPLE 450+ FT HR AT DODGER STADIUM UNDER STATCAST (2015)

AND HE NOW HAS 5 THERE THIS YEAR https://t.co/yo90cQA6U7

MLB Stats @MLBStats

Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are the AL & NL home run leaders.

They are also the only players to hit 30+ HR in each of the last four seasons. https://t.co/K28NSqj30o

I haven’t done #RussCast in a long time, but Shohei Ohtani. Ball damn near left Dodger Stadium.

After the moon shot, Ohtani was humble about the kind of power he has, saying he just looks forward to hitting more homers in the future.

With Ohtani’s latest home run, he has now eclipsed the 30-plus home run mark on the year, marking his fourth consecutive season doing so. The star designated hitter is just behind Aaron Judge for the most homers belted during the 2024 campaign.

In his first season with Los Angeles, Ohtani has helped lead them to the top spot in the NL West at 58-41 on the season. The Dodgers are looking to make a World Series run after last year’s division series exit, and Ohtani could certainly be the difference maker.
