As someone who has been playing professionally over the past two decades, the 22-time Grand Slam champion has shocked every tennis fan with his recent take on whether he wants his son to become a tennis player or not in the future. In a recent interview, Rafa talked about how he doesn’t want his son to pursue tennis but, at the same time, is open to any other sport.

He said, “I want my son to play another sport. Tennis has caused me too much pain and even now I feel pain just saying that. If my son wants to play tennis, I will respect his choice, but if he chooses something different, then it will be better.”

When the 37-year-old was getting ready for his comeback journey, he was accompanied by his wife and children on his trip to Australia, where he made the most of it by playing tennis with his son. Before stepping on the tennis court, he spent a few more days in Brisbane with his family.

During the practice session with Andy Murray, a few pictures of the Spaniard went around the internet, in which his son was seen running around the tennis court with his mini racket. Holding a racket in his hand, Rafa Junior looked like his father’s biggest supporter, but now he has stunned everyone with how he doesn’t want his son to take up tennis.
