England have the highest-valued squad at this year’s World Cup

England’s World Cup squad is worth a staggering €1.26 billion – higher than any other at the tournament.

Gareth Southgate’s side flew out to Qatar on Tuesday and take on Iran in their Group B opener on November 21.

The final 26 Southgate selected are hoping to go one better than last summer’s European Championship and deliver the Three Lions’ first honour since 1966.

According to Transfermarkt, he’s got the most valuable international squad around right now.

Only Brazil and France break the €1 billion mark aside from England, which isn’t a shock considering their wealth of options in every position.

England, however, clear both with two players worth over €100 million respectively. Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund midfielders Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham tip the scales at €110 and €100 million respectively.

Captain Harry Kane clocks in as their third-most expensive player with a value of €90 million.
