Everton fan Tony Bellew crossed the Merseyside divide to congratulate Liverpool’s newest player.
The former cruiserweight world champion sent a message to Jayden Danns after the 18-year-old made his first professional appearance against Luton.

The attacker replaced Luis Diaz in the 89th minute of a 4-1 win, and received plenty of love at full time.
Jurgen Klopp was seen giving the long-time academy prospect a big hug, and was joined by opposition manager Rob Edwards, who was previously with England’s under 16s with Danns.
Scouser Bellew too was delighted, writing on social media: “Truly amazing! This young man has worked so hard and dedicated his whole life to football!
“To see him make his Premier League debut makes me so happy and proud of him! Keep shining J you’re doing great young king..”
Danns father Neil was also a professional footballer, and also born in Liverpool, and grew up in their academy.
He never made a first team appearance though, instead making his professional debut with Blackburn in the top flight, and later settling at Crystal Palace where he made 103 appearances.
Danns Jnr has been with Liverpool since the age of eight, and currently plays for the under 18s, making his debut as an U16 in 2021/22, and scoring ten goals in 2022/23.
Danns may well be called upon again with Liverpool in the midst of an injury crisis.

Klopp has ten first team players in the treatment room, with the most brutal blow being a long-term injury for Diogo Jota.
Pre-match it was also revealed that Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah are out of action, and they may not be back in time for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on February 25.
