England won 1-0 against Denmark in their second group stage match of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The only goal of the match was scored by Chelsea’s Lauren James in the 6th minute. The win puts England top of Group D with six points, while Denmark are second with three points.

The match was a close affair, with both teams creating chances. England had the better of the first half, but Denmark came out stronger in the second half. However, England were able to hold on for the win, thanks to a solid defensive performance.

The win is a big boost for England, who are now one step closer to qualifying for the knockout stages of the tournament. They will face Norway in their final group stage match on Tuesday, July 31.

England had more possession of the ball (54%) and created more chances (15 to 7). However, Denmark were more clinical in front of goal, hitting the woodwork twice.

In Group D England are the defending champions, and one of the favourites to win the tournament again. England’s Women’s National Football Team  have a strong squad, with players like Ellen White, Lucy Bronze, and Fran Kirby.

Denmark are a dark horse in the tournament. They have a good team, with players like Pernille Harder and Nadia Nadim. They will be looking to cause an upset and reach the knockout stages.

Haiti are making their first appearance at the Women’s World Cup. They are a young team, but they have some talented players, like Melchie Daoust and Nerilia Mondesir. They will be looking to make their mark on the tournament.

China are a veteran team, with players like Wang Shuang and Wang Shanshan. They have reached the final of the Women’s World Cup twice, but they have not been as successful in recent years. They will be looking to improve on their performance in the 2019 tournament.
