When is Fortnite Star Wars coming back and what content or skins are still left to get covered in the Battle Royale?
Fortnite has tons of crossover, the list is pretty endless. There are a few franchises that it just can’t stay away from though. Perhaps the biggest of those is the Fortnite Star Wars collab.
Epic’s Battle Royale crosses over with the sci-fi franchise at least once a year. Often more. It’s gotten to the point where a Fortnite Star Wars announcement isn’t even really a surprise. This year, we’ve pretty much known May would start yet another Star Wars event since the start of the season.
Fortnite Star Wars Chapter 5 is particularly interesting since the game now spans so much more than Battle Royale.
It’s been a pretty open secret that Star Wars is back in Fortnite soon. Epic has now announced the full set of changes a bit early! This is what’s coming with the new Fortnite event, which is particularly focused on the Lego mode. There’s still something for everyone here though.
Lego Fortnite Star Wars Event
Lego Fortnite is going to be the focus of the new Star Wars crossover. There are fresh builds inspired by Star Wars coming, so you can build Rebel and Empire-themed villages across your Lego Star Wars worlds.
New Items
There are also new weapons coming, like Lightsabers, Bowcasters, Blasters, and Thermal Detonators. Lego Fortnite has been completely lacking in weapons so far, but maybe the Star Wars gear is far enough from real guns to make it in.
New Lego Fortntie Star Wars Event Pass
What’s more, there’s yet another Event pass. This time it’s not focusing on Battle Royale like the Aang skin pass though. Instead, it’s all built for Lego in Fortnite Star Wars Chapter 5.
Just like other passes there is a basic tier with limited rewards, and a premium tier. It’s the second tier where you can unlock the new Chewbacca Fortnite Star Wars skins. The rest of the rewards are build pieces. Fun for those who play a lot of the Lego mode.
New Adventures
In game, there’s a big new adventure to take part in. A new island will pop up in your world with Empire ships crashed on it. You’ll need to investigate and take on the Empire inside of Lego Fortnite.
Lego Fortnite Star Wars is getting the biggest expansion we’ve seen for the mode so far.
All the Lego Fortnite X Star Wars Chapter 5 content is sticking around after the event ends too. It’ll be a permanent part of the game going forward. We’re also getting new Lego styles for each of the Fortnite skins, including Star Wars characters like Darth Vader.
Fortnite Star Wars Content in Battle Royale
Still the most played mode out of those active in Fortnite, Battle Royale has plenty happening too. Chewbacca is a new character on the map. He’ll give you a new Mythic, the Chewbacca Bowcaster. You get it in a bit of a different way though.
Rather than defeating Chewbacca, you’re rescuing him! He’ll spawn at one random imperial roadblock each game if you find him, you can set him loose and gain him as an NPC along with his Bowcaster.
There are also new Imperial Chests at these spots. These drop a different variety of the Bowcaster. Plus, there are returning items like Lightsabers and the standard blasters.
Darth Vader Is Back as a Boss for Fortnite Star Wars Chapter 5
Since he debuted a few seasons ago, Vader has been a recurring presence on the Fortnite map. He’s back for the Fortnite X Star Wars Chapter 5 crossover. Take him out and you’ll get the Vader Mythic lightsaber.
Star Wars Quests
Traditional for events at this point, we’re getting new quests too. If you’ve been struggling to level up in Fortnite since the XP nerfs, these will be helpful. Complete five and you’ll get a level up in the Battle Pass. 10 gets you the new AWR Pack Back Bling.
Each of these quests will deal with the new content. Players have until May 14th to get them all finished up if they want to grab every cosmetic that they can in Fortnite Star Wars Chapter 5.
Fortnite Festival Moves to the Catina
Not to be left behind, there are some new features in the Fortnite Festival mode too. There are a number of new quests that players can go through to earn a new Seven-string Hallikset Guitar. These quests also reward you with a Battle Royale level-up too.
A Star Wars song will be featured in the game too, the famous Catina Band song! Plus, a purchasable weapon modeled after the Ewok drumkit from the end of Return of the Jedi. What’s more wholesome for Fortnite Star Wars than playing the drums on the skulls of your enemies?
Rocket Racing
Rocket Racing players will also be able to grab a free cosmetic by playing through quests. Doing four of them will get you Anakin’s Podracer Decal. Eight gets you a Darth Maul Decal. There’s also Energy Binders Trail on offer.
Not quite a full podracer skin for your car, but these are fun cosmetics all the same.
New Outfits and Fortnite Star Wars Skins
There are quite a few new and returning skins coming. These are the new outfits included in this event.
Dagobah Luke
Lando Calrissian
AWR Trooper
There are also quite a few returning Fortnite Star Wars skins, most with new Lego FN skins. Including:
Boba Fett
Han Solo
Imperial Stormtrooper
Leia Organa
Finn
Kylo Ren
Rey
Sith Trooper
Zorii Bliss
Fortnite Star Wars Returns – Event Start Date
In May, we’ll see Fortnite Star Wars start back up!
This is an event we get pretty regularly, and it’ll arrive nearly as soon as Avatar ends. That collab ends May 3rd, this begins May 3. We’ll be rolling straight into the next event like we did between Midas and Avatar earlier in Chapter 5 Season 2.
That’s probably when Fortnite Star Wars Skins will return, and in-game items. The day before sees the return of the Aspects of the Gods Mythics too. We’ll have a much fuller Fortnite loot pool for the final weeks of Chapter 5 Season 2.
Ashley is a dedicated Fortnite player, in hour 3,000 of trying to finish above 90th.
